I read that there are 3 sections of baby development. Taken from a reowned PD from his book, Positive Parenting - Raising Healthy Children from Birth to Three Years:
Physical (Motor)
Emotional (Social)
Mental (Intelligence)
Kyan has developed in three areas, but i would say he is still quite slow in learning how to chew. On the other hand, he is pretty adept in moving fast around the house and especially in his playpen, moving fast from one place to another.
Sometimes he can stand without support in his playpen for more than 10 seconds. He could walk and roll effortlessly in his playpen though he is still learning to walk on the hard floor.
He's crawling quite enthusiastically around the house despite the hard floor, thanks to my mum who let him did that. I thought it was a good move. He can even bend his body to see where the ball he threw has rolled into (underneath the gap below the drawers). There was once he bent too low till he hit his head against the floor and cried badly.
He has eight teeth in total, and i think there's another one coming out from behind. He loves to suck his thumb and fingers now it is a tedious task to stop him every now and then.
Changing his pampers is another headache. He hates to be changed and cries to get up. If you pin his hands down he will look and shout "HEY!" (in his baby language) at U..at the same time making noises and giving U the expression that, "HEY what are u doing?! Let go!" When u look at his expression, u don't know to laugh or to cry. Haha.
Its really a joy to see him grow up day by day, yet so ironic i wish he will still remain my precious baby forever, though i know one day it will be a fact that he will grow up and be on his way to boy and manhood. He is an individual who is learning to express his feelings, thoughts and emotions day by day.
As of 17Mar (yesterday), i hereby wish my precious boy a Happy First Birthday!!
Welcome to the next stage of your life. You have reach toddlerhood. Mummy wish for you to grow up a sensible, healthy and smart boy. You don't have to be perfect, but it is important you grow up to be a person with a true sense of well-being, being taught and preached the right virtues which i hope in future, will stay with you throughout your entire life.
