Visit to a new PD...new developments!

Little one's little upper front tooth has also grown out.

He loves to bite and chew and gnaw on things, all thanks to teething. Just a moment ago, he was opening his mouth when he saw my mum biting a pear, so she let him just suck on the pear for a while. So cuteeeeee.

He is learning to sit from a crawl position. He's still crawling backwards but trying to do it forward.

He has learnt to hold his own bottle! What a MIRACLE for a baby who doesn't love to drink. This morning, he pulled the bottle towards his own mouth with his hands and held the bottle with his two little palms after that. Guess he will only do this if he is really hungry.

He loves people saying bye bye to him, and this is evidenced from his wide chuckle whenever we wave and go BYE BYE!! He flings his arms and kicks his legs in excitement when we are about to leave the house. I guess this little one loves to go out like his daddy.

He's on a new feeding routine now. Four hourly despite hunger hints in between. No choice, he will drink and eat more if he's hungry. If we give in to his cries of hunger before the time is up, he won't eat and drink much and his whole routine will be interrupted again.

We were advised to do this through Dr Teoh's recommendation. Thanks to Jo, we brought kyan to see Dr Teoh @ Mount E yesterday as he still refused to eat and drink. Dr Teoh found a thick vein underneath his tongue which is actually the root of the problem for his refusal to eat and drink much. We wanted to have it cut but Dr Teoh refused to do it due to my "hesitation" as he quoted. He asked us to try the new feeding routine to see how things go first. So far all is good and things have improved today and i'm happy about it. Dr Teoh asked us to let him know how things go on wednesday. Though he is a grumpy doctor, his advises are good and helpful.

Pray that things will just go for the better and kyan will put on the necessary weight soon. He's so small and skinny compared to other babies his age group in general.

As advised by the doctor, I cannot stop breastfeeding for now and have to continue until Kyan's feeding/eating problem is resolved. Since he's already on the lightweight scale, Dr Teoh was glad that at least i still give him breastmilk as its healthy and beneficial compared to formula milk. Lucky my milk flow has not totally stopped (since i already have plans to stop breastfeeding and have deliberately decreased milk supply since a few days ago) so my milk supply has dropped alot already. I just hope i can maintain this supply for the time being with just two pump sessions for the day.
