I could stand up...HIGH...high....HIGH

Another milestone.

Kyan managed to pull himself up and stand up a very long time now with support, clinging onto the edge of the playpen. He could also walked for a short distance with that support. Well done boy.

He got four grown out teeth on the top, two at the middle bottom. The tooth by the edge is starting to pop up too.

I gave him a biscuit to chew on Sunday. His expression was so cute after biting off a part of the biscuit. He would start smiling very happily as though a goal was achieved. I would compliment and say....oh so clever boy!

Soon he'll be one year old. Very fast. Sometimes i just feel its so scary to have time flying past just like that. Memories really have to be captured if not, all is lost forever.

First Merry x'Mas!

Wishing U the very first merry x'mas Mister Kyan! Hehe...

We spent the day at my 4th aunt's place (as usual every x'mas day)...had a hella great time at the bowling centre@Chevrons. However, i had to feed Kyan there so i missed out on the first game. He didn't want to drink milk and i was struggling to feed him there alone. Even the receptionist at the counter also can see. Kyan was enticed to the decorated christmas tree just beside the counter, and kept wanting to go there. I think he really loves the lights. Too bad Orchard Road would be very crowded and it was not advisable to bring him there.

On the second game, i threw the role of babysitting to my sister since she doesn't want to play bowling. Haha. Thank goodness to the Ergo carrier that lil prince eventually managed to fall asleep in the carrier.

Aunty Peiting carrying lil prince

But this ah yi seems a lil scared..

However eventually she took a photo with her bf (aka future hubby) and lil kyan *click* happy family photo =D

Little yellow bunny riding hood

Whats so interesting up there??

My grandaunt carrying me....i'm a doctor don't play play! (a sian one that is)

Mummy's team won the bowling competition!
Kyan was still manageable at the bowling centre, just that when we reached my aunt's place, he created problems again.
Don't want to eat, cannot sleep, make a fuss and cry.

Argh. Babies.
Stress. Everyone says my face displays so.
Yes i can't admit i'm not. Being a mum is really not easy.

Moomoomoo gone....frustration with milk bottes

I know i am saying it for the second time but this time is real...

Today marks the end of my moo-moo career.

Yes totally. STOPPED. No more days of pumping, no more waking up earlier to pump, no more washing of pump, no more lugging the heavy FTG bag to and fro...basically no more.

Kyan will be on full FM from now. The first time i said it, i still continued as kyan had feeding problems and Dr Teoh advised me not to quit.

This time, i was determined to give up as i realised maybe it just wasn't worth the effort given the fact that kyan doesn't seem to appreciate milk (even though this problem started way before) and he is on three solid meals now, so other forms of food would have compensated for his nutritional needs. Besides i could think i need more time for other things which would require my attention. House renovation, spending more time with kyan and taking care of him besides pumping and a load of other things...

Nine months along the breastfeeding route seems not too long, yet not too short either. However, given my target was eight months, this would seem an achieved goal.

Kyan is totally refusing bottles! We have to feed the whole bottle of 190ml milk by SPOON...

Whats wrong? Sighz.

So u see, other things requiring more attention than just pumping alone.
And....guilty so to speak, i'm enjoying the convenience of not pumping anymore...and able to sleep later! yippie!

Well....on to other things...

He tried something new this morning....apples and dates oats cereal with milk. Yesterday i made cheesy pasta stars and he took it.
I'm glad as he totally refused my pasta stars with carrot the other day, probably cos it tasted "tasteless"...well basically carrots alone didn't do the job well.

This time i specially cooked the sauce to stir with the pasta stars. And little boy needs more liquids now since he's on full FM.

Little boy is on full fledged chewing as his four upper teeth has grown. There are two lower ones in the middle and the side teeth are cutting their way out now.

Is that why he is totally refusing bottles now?

Haiz, i wish he could tell mummy what actually went wrong.

P/s. Mummy seems to be getting sick again...her flu is reporting. She keeps sneezing.
Please don't fall sick! *crosses fingers*

House reno is going to start sooner as we have change the key collection date to 6Jan, which is coincidentally our customary wedding anniversary =)

A well-fed boy is a happy boy....

I realise i have not been updating this blog for ages. Tired sia...and lazy =x

Now kyan is the little king of the house. He achieved another major milestone today. He can stand up by himself holding onto the edge of his playpen! *well done baby~!*

Nowadays this mummy is pretty much addicted to making purees for little king, and surprisingly enjoys the process very much. Count himself lucky as this mummy gave no nuts to cooking way before she was crowned the title of mum =P

Now she has tried to make different fruits, meat and vegetable purees, have them frozen in baby cubes so that granny will have an easier time feeding little king.

On his weaning diet, he has tried broccoli, salmon and cheese! Yes cheezeeeee....cheddar and parmesan does the job. He has tried egg yolk a few days ago hopefully that won't cause any allergies. He has taken mango, blueberries, peaches and a couple of fruits now. Can say his lover is still the apples. He just took chicken few days ago.

Now he can take a heavy meal, eg. a 3/4 or almost full bowl of porridge, 1/2 or 1 cube of fruit and milk (usually about 30ml to 50ml).

He is turning nine months next thursday. Happy nine months in advance my dear boy =)

Christmas is coming!! Daddy and Mummy hopes to bring you to see the decorations and lightings some time soon. We are also shifting house early next year (mummy and daddy is going to get the house keys on 8Jan) and mummy hopes she can get the house ready by 13Mar so that the housewarming could coincide with my first birthday =)

Second haircut~Recent Updates

Thank goodness Kyan has recovered from the massive attacks since last week. It has been a rather tough week for all of us. But this naughty boy is still up to his usual tricks....he doesn't seem able to suck out milk smoothly from the teat, making those "tock tock" sounds here and there and the milk still stays almost the same level 10 mins later *insert expressionless mode here* If he wants to drink, the milk bottle will be emptied in 5mins flat.

Baby K is reaching 8 months very soon!! Fast right....he is very fast in his actions too...crawling and rolling here and there. Most of the times he managed to sit himself upright from a lying position in his playpen.

This is one video of him crawling....notice his attempt at a "banana split" during the start of the video (haha)

We brought him for a second haircut at hwa xia @ Harbourfront last Sat cos his hair has become too long. He has been sweating very often.

I am on leave today! Decided to make some purees for Kyan involving the apricot as i have decided to introduce to Kyan today. I had to go to Nature's Farm and get the dried apricots which are un-sulphured.
1) Porridge with apricot and apple. I mixed bellamy's baby porridge which i cooked with BM and blend together with the apricot and apple. Kyan seems to like it.
2) Apple, Pear and Apricot puree. Made 3 portions and freeze them
3) The other day i made the trio of vegetables puree (pumpkin, parsnip and carrots). Freeze 4 portions.

Going to try sweetcorn and chicken next. Exciting!

Annabel karmel's
website offers very good recipes. Try it!

Today is my first attempt at bringing little boy out alone (to Compasspoint), and boy, it was tiring cos i had to carry him in the carrier and it was a strain on my shoulders (painful...sobz...i think i must have sprained some nerve way before as i had problem with shoulder pain since long time back). I wonder how am i going to do this again....

The first time Kyan became so sick...

Poor kyan has been attacked by the many viruses since last Wed.

Mummy is sick along with him as well, with a cough and sore throat plus a bit of a running nose. She is on MC today.

We brought him to see a GP nearby but his medicine doesn't seem to work.

He is still sick as of today, and it has been nearly one week with the viral infections.

First was a fever and mild cough + abit of blocked nose which started last Thurs. Symptoms were displayed on Wed. We bought him to see the GP early morning. His fever persisted till the next day and his cough worsened as well. Poor boy has mucus flowing down whenever he sneezed and was sniffing terribly. We thought the medicine didn't help so we brought him back to see the same GP who this time round, prescribed antibiotics.

The next day (sat), poor boy actually threw up at 11am+, TWICE within an interval of just about 5 to 10mins apart. Kun and i freaked out cos it was alot, so we called up my mum and was advised that maybe the antibiotics caused him to throw up the phlegm as well, so it should be ok. At night he had red swollen eyes and we were worried if he's allergic to the antibiotics, so we decided to monitor the condition till the next day.

P/s. I wish to thank my mum who came over to help in the afternoon.

On Sunday, thank goodness his eyes were ok, but we had a new problem. He had diahorrea! Ogh gosh what happen?? We continued to monitor the situation and by evening, kyan threw up again. This time we were determined to bring him straight to KKH.

The doctor at KKH (young lady) checked kyan's throat and said it was red. She asked us to stop the antibiotics (which actually can cause diahorrea) but continue with the nose drops the GP prescribed, along with some new medicine (for phlegm, wind in stomach - yes kyan has alot of wind in his tummy...).

Today is Tuesday and his cough doesn't get better even after taking all those medicine. In fact it worsened. Poor boy was coughing till his face showed lines of discomfort, breathlessness and exhaustion. He had breathing difficulties and a wheezing sound whenever he coughs and breathes. We decided to bring him to Dr Teoh immediately.

Now he's sleeping after drinking 120ml of milk plus the medication that Dr Teoh prescribed. Dr Teoh had to nebulize the poor boy as his cough and breathing is quite bad.

Mummy is upset and heartbroken seeing him like that =( Pray the little boy will recover soon.

New milestones and the first brush

Kyan has finally crawled forward instead of backwards!!

Its another milestone achieved =D

He definitely recognises people now. He chooses the person who can carry him. As we stretch our hands out in a "do u want me to carry u?" gesture, he arches his body forward to be carried. Most of the time he seems ok with everyone and anyone....hehe

He learns to blabber some sounds which only he seems to understand...LOL....

Mummy just love him the way he is =D

Two days ago, I use a finger brush and first toothpaste to brush his little teeth and massage his gums. After finishing with it, he wanted more by opening his mouth and pulling hand (and the finger with the brush) towards him. See? This little boy probably thought the toothpaste was food.

Things seem to take a better stride. Little one's been drinking and eating more now. Dr Teoh advised mummy to continue breastfeeding till one year old. Hmm can i ever reach there?

Visit to a new PD...new developments!

Little one's little upper front tooth has also grown out.

He loves to bite and chew and gnaw on things, all thanks to teething. Just a moment ago, he was opening his mouth when he saw my mum biting a pear, so she let him just suck on the pear for a while. So cuteeeeee.

He is learning to sit from a crawl position. He's still crawling backwards but trying to do it forward.

He has learnt to hold his own bottle! What a MIRACLE for a baby who doesn't love to drink. This morning, he pulled the bottle towards his own mouth with his hands and held the bottle with his two little palms after that. Guess he will only do this if he is really hungry.

He loves people saying bye bye to him, and this is evidenced from his wide chuckle whenever we wave and go BYE BYE!! He flings his arms and kicks his legs in excitement when we are about to leave the house. I guess this little one loves to go out like his daddy.

He's on a new feeding routine now. Four hourly despite hunger hints in between. No choice, he will drink and eat more if he's hungry. If we give in to his cries of hunger before the time is up, he won't eat and drink much and his whole routine will be interrupted again.

We were advised to do this through Dr Teoh's recommendation. Thanks to Jo, we brought kyan to see Dr Teoh @ Mount E yesterday as he still refused to eat and drink. Dr Teoh found a thick vein underneath his tongue which is actually the root of the problem for his refusal to eat and drink much. We wanted to have it cut but Dr Teoh refused to do it due to my "hesitation" as he quoted. He asked us to try the new feeding routine to see how things go first. So far all is good and things have improved today and i'm happy about it. Dr Teoh asked us to let him know how things go on wednesday. Though he is a grumpy doctor, his advises are good and helpful.

Pray that things will just go for the better and kyan will put on the necessary weight soon. He's so small and skinny compared to other babies his age group in general.

As advised by the doctor, I cannot stop breastfeeding for now and have to continue until Kyan's feeding/eating problem is resolved. Since he's already on the lightweight scale, Dr Teoh was glad that at least i still give him breastmilk as its healthy and beneficial compared to formula milk. Lucky my milk flow has not totally stopped (since i already have plans to stop breastfeeding and have deliberately decreased milk supply since a few days ago) so my milk supply has dropped alot already. I just hope i can maintain this supply for the time being with just two pump sessions for the day.

Goodbye to Breastfeeding!!

Today is the day....

MUMMY HAS FINALLY DECIDED.....

SHE WILL STOP BREASTFEEDING...

These past seven months+ have been a feat for her actually.
Struggling to make kyan drink her BM....waking up in the wee and early hours to pump...coping with blocked milk ducts and engorgement.

I guess thats enough already, given that kyan has been drinking it for at least half a year.

Her target is eight months, and she is glad she did it.

She don't mind continuing but since kyan doesn't to drink, she finds it quite pointless. It is hard for her to give up breastfeeding given the milk supply she has, but there is no point anymore...its just sad but thats reality. Kyan doesn't want to latch anymore, he doesn't seem to like drinking mummy's BM anymore.

Anyway mummy gives herself a pat on her back =)

Tomorrow will be a start to decreasing milk supply and eventually stop the milk flow...Cold cabbage here i come! She still has freezer stocks left she's hoping to last till when kyan is eight months, but yea she's going to try to stop pumping liao. Enough is enough?

Goodbye breastfeeding....!!!

At 7 months....Fussy fussy fussy...

Happy 7months old my little terror! =P
Happy 1 year old to Stephanie Jie Jie too! =)

Time flies. It has been more than 1/2 a year since he popped out of my womb bawling away.

Mummy suddenly thought about her school days and realised that time waits for no one...it seemed just like yesterday that she and her bunch of friends behaved like innocent and playful kids running around the school compound.

Somehow she missed those days.

She felt that she has aged. Now they are all mummies.

EMO again.

Anyway my little terror has been out to create more havoc. He has become sensibly naughty. Thats just the word.

This morning I tried to feed him but he refused to drink, forcefully pushing the bottle away causing it to topple.

My hard pumped EBM spilled over the floor and the sofa.

I got kind of mad and beat beat his hand since he did that after several attempts of making him drink.

Guess thats the way my boy is.

Things turn out for the worse these few days. He refused to drink and even eat his porridge!

We brought him to see Dr Alyssa Tan at Kids Clinic (Rivervale Mall) for a scond opinion. The first time consulation costed $60 and the little bottle of vitamins costed $40, totally $107+ (including GST).

MY gawd. I'm not bringing him back to see her again just to exchange that few words and that little bottle of vitamins.

Kyan has tried bananas and seemed to like it. He started on Heinz Multigrain Banana Breakfast yesterday.

He likes the Heinz cookie too. So probably going to give him daily.

Next up on the menu will be grape juice. He seemed to dislike pears. No wonder he refused to take the pear and pumpkin puree i made for him the other day.

Will try grape juice next.

Spot my pearlies...

Hi everyone! Can you spot my white pearlies??? =D

This was taken before he was fed porridge just a moment ago!

So far these are the majority of the purees he has tried on his weaning diet.

Avocado
Butternut squash
Apple
Pear
Sweet Potato
Potato
Sweet Baby Vegetables
Pasta in Tomato & Ham Sauce

The cereals:
Oatmeal
Barley
Brown Rice
Si Sen Powder with ikan bilis

And he's being introduced to carrot and fish for the first time in his porridge today!

His many expressions...

Sulky look....???? Grouchy Look???? Grumpy Look????

U name it...

Sorry for the shakes as i was filming with one hand and trying to prevent kyan's hand swiping at me with my other hand!

Tough job!
*sweats*

Dreaded stuffs....kyan is learning to crawl!

My menses reported in full force yesterday. I was taken by surprise since i thought breastfeeding will delay menses, but i was wrong! Sianzation. I was haunted by the dreaded cramps again! No wonder i was feeling so tired the days prior to this visit of my "da yi ma". Took a day off today since i don't think i can work with this tiredness and crappy cramps.

Even though my milk supply did drop but i guess its still manageable in that sense, since kyan is not drinking that much, and i still have some freezer stocks left. But this little boy is still as naughty as ever, refuse to drink milk, and now worse, refuse to eat also! Sometimes really can vomit blood lor!

Bought Bellamy's toothiepegs and the heinz cookie to mix with his usual milk. Aiya, whatever new thing to try just try la....don't know what he likes also...don't want to eat and don't want to drink don't know what he wants lor.

Ok some updates about this little one. His two bottom front white pearlies have popped up. So cute. I wanted to take a photo of his new pearlie whites but no chance. He won't open his mouth unnecessarily u know. Oh speaking of which, if he doesn't want to eat or drink he will shut his mouth so tight it was impossible to insert the spoon in. And he bites...and bites...hard at the spoon (as the teething causes his gums to be itchy) so i got the Tollyjoy rubber spoon and not the plastic one. Safer and softer for him to bite on.

He is now into crawling too, not forwards but backwards. He pushed his body back and forth several times. This is his favourite for the time being. Sometimes he tries to move in front and end up like he's "swimming"...hehe...but eventually he crawled backwards...he can also sit unassisted for quite some time.

And he now has preferences. You give him two toys he chooses the one he likes...he will grab the things you are holding or try to touch your face. If he is so attached to something, like his bolster, you better don't try snatching away cos you have no chance. He grabs it with the might of his awesome little strength. He will do a swipe at your face or uses his fingers to scratch you. Ouch!

Here's the video of him pushing his body back and forth, back and forth....and rotated his body in a roundabout fashion....

Last dose of 6-in-1

Little kyan had his last dose of the 6-in-1 jab on wednesday.

The jab this time round seemed to be stronger as his fever persisted for at least a day, comparatively to the first two jabs where the fever wasn't that persistent.

Dr Vanessa did her usual examinations on kyan. This time round, she voiced out that kyan's weight is lower than the normal percentile, which means that we have to pay more attention to his weight gain. He is in fact, pretty lightweight and is smaller than normal-sized babies. It got me worried. How to gain weight when he doesn't want to drink milk? Dr Vanessa advised us to add in milk to whatever solids which we may offer to him, like cereals or fruits. She mentioned that kyan should be drinking 800ml per day to be on the good side. 500 to 600ml is like the passing mark now.

She added that we should not start on porridge so soon, but after he turned seven months. So for now, its only cereals and purees.

Mummy is stressed. Baby yo, can't u just guai guai drink milk...don't drink how to gain weight neh?

No more further jabs till he turns one year old, unless we want to let him take the pneumoccocal jab...daddy wants to administer little kyan for the jab only after he is one year old, cos i guess he is heartpain seeing kyan get poked so many times (and mummy too).

Pneumoccal jab, if administered on his seven month, will have to be taken 3x. After 12 months - 2x and 24months - 1x

Each jab freakingly costs $170!

New weaning recipe...porridge!

My mil started kyan out on porridge today and he absolutely loves it!

Heard that he wanted to eat more but mil and kun stopped feeding him, cos they were afraid he didn't know how to control...somemore first try ma, better start small..

I will have to learn how to make porridge for him also, felt ashamed that i know nuts about cooking.

My uncle has invited little kyan to be the "boy jumper on his new bed" for his big wedding event next saturday....wow, looking forward to it!

Tomorrow little kyan will take his last dose of 6-in-1...hmm, hope he doesn't have fever...*crosses fingers*...as now his teething, it seem to double his chances of having fever...

I'm So So So So soooooooooo tired. I'm having terrible tuesday blues as yesterday was the Hari Raya holiday. Sian to go work man...

Gymboree Lesson - 19Sep

We headed to Harbourfront and reached there at 11.55am before the start of the gymboree lesson at 12pm.

The instructor greeted the children with a clown figure singing a song...

Can you spot kyan and me? Very obvious la huh...the third person counting from the left of the clown...

The instructor guided us parents with a series of steps to enhance the babies' exploration skills, like getting us to lie on our back and putting the baby on our legs in mid-air while talking and singing, putting the baby on our laps, swinging them lightly from side to side while singing in a merri-go-round kind of rhythm. Fun but tiring for mummy! hahaha...

Next the instructor advised us to let our babies use the equipment like the slides, swings they have there...to enhance their motor skills...

Next up colourful balls came tumbling out as we sat in a circle...The babies love the colorful balls! In fact a number of them were putting them into their mouths...haha! Some of them drooling and all...lol...anyway, kyan was pretty nonchalent actually. Wasn't that excited i wonder whether he really loves flooding in the midst of the colorful round things.

Haha this little kid was enthusiastic being #1 ball catcher. He was the first to reach for the ball! His name is Leonard and he seems to be the oldest baby within the group.

Look at me trying to get him to grab a ball :-/

The instructor had also created a parachuting colorful effect for the babies to enjoy...i guess color simulation was the key factor throughout the program.

Baby Marissa, Baby Andrique and Me!!

We also get to enjoy watching and playing with bubbles sitting on the big parachute!

All in all kyan doesn't seem to be able to focus well on the instructor and the class itself. Perhaps he's still too young?

Poor boy is teething...so bad...lessons for little one

Little Kyan's bottom front teeth is popping out.

Poor boy is very discomforted. He keeps crying and crying, his tears flow down and he is extremely cranky and it has been especially difficult for him to fall asleep.

My poor baby. It hurts his mummy to see him like that :(

Kyan bite my finger when i tried rubbing teething gel on him. And he keeps rubbing his ears too. According to Jo, it is because of teething pain.

BIG SIGHZ....

I wish this period will be over soon....

And then to make things more difficult, kyan keeps flipping whenever we changed his diapers. He is overly-enthusiastic. Yes thats the word - OVERLY. He wants to flip even before we are done changing his diapers! And he keeps twisting his body so that he could flip and after we pinned him down he does it again and again and again. Don't see him small boy his strength quite alot woah. It is so difficult to change diapers or clothes now!

Some updates:-
Went for gymboree lesson at Harbourfront yesterday. Hmmz...i think little one is not concentrating enough. He keeps moving his focus elsewhere. My guess is that he's still too young.
But i'm not signing up for the lessons, since Lynn and Karen advised that it gets monotonous after some time.

Kindermusic up next, at Tanglin Mall.

Then Music Class at Harbourfront again. Managed to apply for the gymboree membership + two trial classes at a fee of $50.

Kyan is 6months old!

Kyan is six months old today! This day has finally come.

Why am i so obsessed with this six month mark?? Cos this means that little kyan is now fully ready to be on solids and I can officially give up breastfeeding!!!!!! Hooray!!!!! The six month is just like an official mark. Of course, i still hope to persevere breastfeeding till kyan is at least eight months. In fact I don't quite feel to set myself a target anymore...just trying as long as i can as long as i still have my milk supply.

I have been lazy to blog about the changes these days. Life goes on but little one has grown bigger, smarter and stronger! haha.

What warms me is the fact that everytime i reach home there is this big toothless grin that little one flashes to me. He will kick his hands and legs excitedly and i instantly knew he recognises mummy immediately and is looking forward to seeing me back. Ahhh....talk about the wonders of motherhood.

Kyan has managed to flip from his back to tummy and vice versa. He's also trying to push himself and my guess is he will learn to crawl very soon. Thats when we will start fencing all the sharp edges and corners.

And he loves to play "jump jump" when we carry him upright...he will use his legs and "jump" upwards. And he can never sit still now. Talk about being an active boy just like his dad...like father like son...haha!

Nowadays we start putting him in the playpen if he's alone cos he will roll onto the floor when we placed him on the mattress. One moment he's on the mattress and next moment could be on the floor liao...so to be safe...playpen is the solution. I was even thinking of playmat but thats an expensive investment and not quite worth i feel. Maybe a mattress or playpen could do an equivalent job.

Meal Schedule - Kyan's milk intake dropped. Nowadays he can only drink about 140ml every 4hours or sometimes even 5hours. The most he can go is 160ml, but seldom.
He is on one feed cereal and one feed puree daily.

Gathering at Grandma's place...Time for weaning!

Little Kyan met up with Nigel di di and Stephy Jie Jie yesterday as they and mummy's friends came over to my ah-ma's (maternal) house @ hougang yesterday. Wanted to take photo with stephy jie jie but she didn't want to lie down...but Kyan managed to take with Nigel! Yippie....

Nigel didi shake hands with me...we are brothers and friends!

I'm so happy i get to take photos with Nigel di di!

Currently at 5months and 1week, Mummy has started me on a weaning schedule. I was being fed Earth's Best organic sweet potatoes and i absolutely love it!! The moment I saw mummy with the scoop of potatoes puree on hand, i plunged forward and stick my tongue out and mummy knew i love it. She fed about about two to three spoonfuls each time.

Grandma fed me Earth's Best First Pears today. At first i get the sort of a sour-ish look but later it was ok...

Mummy is working out on my weaning schedule. Whats next? Avocado puree or mashed apple? Is mummy going to feed me cereal? Haiz, kids are so spoilt with so many choices that mummy doesn't know how to start!

Photos with Mummy n Daddy at 4months!

Here are some photos i took with mummy!

And here are some shots with daddy! I love putting my fist into my mouth!

And this is me!!

Swimming in the tub

This was the video of my very first swimming lesson at hwa xia!

Here is kyan's swimming lesson for the second time at hwa xia...

He looks terrified in this picture! Yes i think he feared swimming for quite a bit..wonder if it will get better next time or he's just not used to it???

And here is one swimming photo at home in his personal swimming tub...

My Significant Milestone!

Kun and i brought kyan over to Michelle's son's one year celebration. Thank goodness kyan didn't make a fuss during the celebration! My colleague carried him and he was ok with it.

However things weren't as well before we stepped out of the house in the morning. We let him have a dip in his personal swimming tub but he was rather terrified in it as he was looking for a handle on the float to hold on to. Eventually his look of terror stayed so much we decided to take him out of the pool after about 5 to 10mins. At 12pm+ we needed to feed him before leaving the house, but he just wouldn't cooperate despite me coercing him to drink milk for an hour. And now he's very smart! Don't want milk? Use both his hands to push the bottle and teat out of his mouth!

Finally received the awaited Gracie the Giraffe made by one of the forum mummies. No it wasn't FOC, but it was so nice that i had to buy one for kyan. The colours were indeed sparkling beautiful and captivating for the eyes :)

Kyan smiles and says..."look at my new found friend!"

*Hear no evil!!!*

Good news! He finally did his full flip today!!! There were a lot of previous unsuccessful attempts as one of his hands got stuck underneath but he managed to take it out this time round. My mum actually enticed kyan with the giraffe you see in this picture. He managed to free his hand while staring at the colours intensely...is that the magic of Gracie??

See me flip!! Tummy time!

Daddy is that a camera u are holding? *blur blur*

I'm going to try crawling...

And more to come...I'm going to be successful in a couple more weeks time!
