Celebrations to welcome 2010

My little prince is not giving up in asking nigel to lend him the toy...but nigel apparently is more willing to lend the toy to his gf instead :P


Kyan is finally thinking he won't ever borrow the toy and decides to stare at others instead, thinking..."what should i do now?"

The next day was nai nai's birthday celebration at Chinatown "Yan Ge" restaurant...

Gymboree Lesson - 19Sep

We headed to Harbourfront and reached there at 11.55am before the start of the gymboree lesson at 12pm.

The instructor greeted the children with a clown figure singing a song...

Can you spot kyan and me? Very obvious la huh...the third person counting from the left of the clown...

The instructor guided us parents with a series of steps to enhance the babies' exploration skills, like getting us to lie on our back and putting the baby on our legs in mid-air while talking and singing, putting the baby on our laps, swinging them lightly from side to side while singing in a merri-go-round kind of rhythm. Fun but tiring for mummy! hahaha...

Next the instructor advised us to let our babies use the equipment like the slides, swings they have there...to enhance their motor skills...

Next up colourful balls came tumbling out as we sat in a circle...The babies love the colorful balls! In fact a number of them were putting them into their mouths...haha! Some of them drooling and all...lol...anyway, kyan was pretty nonchalent actually. Wasn't that excited i wonder whether he really loves flooding in the midst of the colorful round things.

Haha this little kid was enthusiastic being #1 ball catcher. He was the first to reach for the ball! His name is Leonard and he seems to be the oldest baby within the group.

The instructor had also created a parachuting colorful effect for the babies to enjoy...i guess color simulation was the key factor throughout the program.

We also get to enjoy watching and playing with bubbles sitting on the big parachute!


All in all kyan doesn't seem to be able to focus well on the instructor and the class itself. Perhaps he's still too young?

Gathering at Grandma's place...Time for weaning!

Little Kyan met up with Nigel di di and Stephy Jie Jie yesterday as they and mummy's friends came over to my ah-ma's (maternal) house @ hougang yesterday. Wanted to take photo with stephy jie jie but she didn't want to lie down...but Kyan managed to take with Nigel! Yippie....

Nigel didi shake hands with me...we are brothers and friends!

Currently at 5months and 1week, Mummy has started me on a weaning schedule. I was being fed Earth's Best organic sweet potatoes and i absolutely love it!! The moment I saw mummy with the scoop of potatoes puree on hand, i plunged forward and stick my tongue out and mummy knew i love it. She fed about about two to three spoonfuls each time.

Grandma fed me Earth's Best First Pears today. At first i get the sort of a sour-ish look but later it was ok...

Mummy is working out on my weaning schedule. Whats next? Avocado puree or mashed apple? Is mummy going to feed me cereal? Haiz, kids are so spoilt with so many choices that mummy doesn't know how to start!

The birth of little Nigel

Kyan's godmummy, Joanna gave birth to my godson, little Nigel today! At long last! It has been a long and difficult wait for her...and that she has been counting and looking forward to this day since it has not been an easy pregnancy for her.

Well done Jo! And all the best as you reach the next stage....moo-moo career! We shall encourage each other on the path onwards.....motherhood is a loooooooooooonnnnnnggggggg way...jia you to us!

Mummy's Internal Thoughts

I miss my grandparents again...*tears drop*
In fact i have still been missing them very much after their passing away months ago...and will still think of them frequently...I do have dreams of them frequently too...

Thinking that next year when my baby prince is out is the month that my grandma passed away...
its exactly one year later....

My grandfather missed my grandmother too much he passed away just a mere two months later after her death. I know they miss each other....its also good they get to accompany each other in the other world.

Somehow i felt that my grandparents are the ones who blessed me with this child. Too bad they didn't live to see my baby prince. But i hope they know somewhere out there in the other world. And i know they have been keeping watch over me as well....

Thank you mama and ah-gong....

Sorry for blogging on these sad thoughts as i just had this urge to write them out....

On a happier note, uncle tony is getting married next year.....i know that we have all been waiting for this day aren't we =D my grandparents will be elated to know that...and i hope they do!

And i went to visit joo and baby steph today!! Baby steph's realli pretty...i think she will grow up to be as pretty as her mum =D i don't know why but i just felt a surge of emotions when i saw the baby...probably cos we have now gone to the next stage of becoming mothers and having adorable children....or its just my mother's instincts playing on me....time flies isn't it...i was just reminiscing how we were kids last time, to teenagers, to adults and now we are already mothers....

Last time marriage, and not to even mention, having our own kids seemed so distant......its unbelievable how time and youth waits for no one...

The arrival of a pretty princess!

Its the arrival of a new born baby today~! *drum roll please*....Baby Stephanie! She is delivered safely via c-section today and weighs 2.2kg.

Congrats to Joo on the safe delivery process and her pretty princess....Your worries and efforts for these past weeks/months have indeed paid off....I'm sure when you first saw Baby Stephanie and held her in your arms, u mus have dropped tears of joy and a burden off your heart =D Though Joo has encountered many problems in her pregnancy, especially recently....she remained strong within....kudos to mummies!! Mummies are the greatest afterall =)

Baby Steph is as strong as her mummy....trying hard to turn in her mummy's tummy as she knows how badly her mummy wants her to do so....but due to the low amniotic fluid...it makes the process difficult....Mummy has to bear the pain whenever baby tries to turn.

Joo had to be hospitalised yesterday due to emergency seizure, and had told me how scared she was yesterday. However she is still a strong mummy to me. She has proven this fact as she went through the multiple tests, these many weeks or months of endless worries + stress and finally the c-section she had hoped she won't have to go through (as she was thinking so hard of natural birth).

Congrats to you and eric....stay happy parents ok! I will visit u and baby tomoro...
